hi all!!

when trying to apply heavy gaussian blur to large images (5000×5000 pixels) i get ugly color-steps in the gradient, where it should be smooth transition. (same problem with heavy blur on cloud filters) any hints? (everything works well for smaller images) use rgb, psd-format

thx

Marcus,

Run a noise filter at around 2 px afterwards

sorry for the ot, but I couldn’t help thinking that the "ugly blur filter" is what you use for obscuring the people in pictures who hit more than a branch or 3 on the ugly tree on the way down.

noise is the correct answer. 🙂
