Automate Open Image and Zoom

Running Photoshop 7…

Many times when I am taking test shots, I will read in a number of images and then, one at a time, convert the default magnification view to the Actual Pixel view so I can see all the detail in the image.

So I thought to automate this process by recording an Action and using Batch processing. Well, the Action doesn’t record the change to the Actual Pixel view. I guess this is not considered an "action" by PS. I also tried double clicking on the zoom tool (which gets you to the Actual Pixel view) and same thing – not recorded.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

To record that, find the little arrow-in-a-circle at the top-right of the Actions palette. Choose Insert Menu Item… and a dialog box appears. Ignore that dialog box. Now choose View->Actual Pixels and it will be recorded.

Aditionally to the previous post, you can automate the process in CS2 by choosing File>Scripts> Script Events Manager.
For example, if you want every time you open an image it is automatically zoomed to Actual Pixels View, select at Photoshop Event> Open Document, then check the Action Radio button and select the action you’ve recorded before.

Photoshop 7 doesn’t have that option AFAIK.
