Sorry to bother y’all about this but I am in a pinch to get pricing for a new graphic job.
I just started this service, scanning, layout and printing greeting cards, post cards, announcements and such.
First of all I want to tell you that I have a Minolta qms printer. the color toners are around $150 each and the black toner is around $70.
1.) how much should i charge for a color graphic on the front of a card or post card? is there a price per square cm or per inch that i should figure. i mean to say that it costs more in toner to do a small color photo than it does to do a large color photo.
For that matter, black toner is 1/2 the price that color toner is so that would have to be figured differently.
2.) should I get a commercial printer to print from a CD, my work and save my printer’s resources for samples? I have a 1,500 color post card order waiting for me.
