There are 2 Photoshop books by Scott Kelby:

The Adobe Photoshop CS Book for Digital Photographers (Voices That Matter)
The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers

Anyone what is the difference between those two books? Is the CS one a more recent version?

The CS book is written for those who have Photoshop CS, and discusses features in CS that are not available in earlier versions. The other book (which I have, and love) was written for Photoshop 7 (which I have).

I recently purchased the "The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers" Published March 2003, ISBN 07357-1236-0 and I have found it really quite good, although there is no mention of CS. I would guess that the other book you refer to is the later edition.
