Hi,

We have a logo at http://www.soapchat.net which in my opinion pretty dull.

I’m looking to spruce it up.

Anyone have any suggestions please ? 🙂

Thanks

Looks alright to me. About the only direction I could suggest going it maybe incorporate some sort of generic looking
television set into the logo.

Maybe something like this;

Thanks Martin. I like that but it feels a little old school. I was looking for something a little more dramatic I think.

I have been puzzleing for weeks over it.

IMHO, I believe any discussion about your logo that does not begin with answers to basic questions will be counterproductive.

What attitude are you trying to express? Edgy? Corporate? Young? Mature? Casual? Active?
How do you want people to regard the site? Professional? Comic? Fun? What kind of people use the site now, and what kind of new people do you want to attract?

Without discussing what you wish the logo to communicate, the only input you are likely to gather is particular to one person’s artistic tastes.

Good point. Thanks

The whole feel I am looking for is something ‘serious’ with an edge of ‘fun’.

We really try to encourage matture debate and have quite a few matture TV type experts and would like to somehow get that feel across.

At the same time its also ‘fun’ but without being childish.

I think the best advice is to work with a professional logo designer. You’ll get someone who can offer you a lot of different concepts and then work with you to develop one exactly the way you like it. Find one who’s designed other logos you like.
