Somebody here living in Connecticut? My sister moved recently from Astoria near Manhattan to Connecticut and she said something about only 45 kilometers (or more probably miles).

She will be in South Africa in November and I want her to bring a ‘gray card’ (the combo pack) in this URL with:
http://www.imageguy.com/
Gray (or grey:-) cards are not available in South Africa and it is not really practical to buy paint in a paint shop and paint a piece of cardboard 127 127 127 0r 7f7f7f.

I can not pick up an address there without contacting them and open myself for spam and seeing that the prices here (said URL) is really reasonable, I would like to get hold of an address where I (or she) can get hold of it.

Dave

Asking this after a whole afternoon searching for
residential addresses and prices.

Dave:

Can’t she mail them to you? After all, it’s only paper. She could also get them at nearly any pro photo shop, such as B&H, in NYC.

Hi Dane

Yes, she could, but she is coming back to the land of sunshine (earlier than what I thought) and will land in Durban Sunday the 8th:-) I’ve sent the name B&H to her 5 min ago. Thanks for your reply.
a Funny fact that gray cards are not available here in SA. It definitively was imported earlier but not any more.

This whole thing strikes me as being completely daft.

The OP is trying to get his sister to buy a Grey Card locally to her.

The card he wants is one which seems only to be sold on the Internet.

He does not want to order it via the Internet, in case he starts getting SPAM.

He does not want to contact any retailers in case he gets Spam.

So he posts to a Newsgroup to find the address of a retailer.

Does he really think Spammers do not trawl N.G.s. I think this clown is a TROLL.

And I think you are a twit – a real fool.
Why do you not try my email address big mouth?
You are to daft to understand the whole point;
My sister is on her way to our place, and I simply decided in the spirit of the moment to ask her to bring it with. I can do without it – there is many more ways to do white balance, and I even made myself a gray card (which is not true gray, but the best I could get) and now I have the opportunity to let her bring it with. Now, go play with the kids:-(

As I thought, your response demonstrates exactly what you are.

An under – bridge living hairy monster.

Your reply is no answer to my explanation.

If I remember right, I have been on your web site once.
(do I remember right?) And what I recall, is quite a pleasant site with humorous sayings and I liked it. And that I should have addressed you as ‘uncle’ when calling you a twit and having more respect for the elderly. That is the way I was brought up half a centenary ago.

I would hate to change my original view of you uncle Roy, even despite some shit seeking things you have said to
other people here as well.

Try to reply on what I answered you or keep on being a twit..

Some say, that Signor Bononcini,
Compared to Handel’s a mere ninny;
Others aver, to him, that Handel
Is scarcely fit to hold a candle.
Strange! That such high dispute should be
‘Twixt Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

Hi there.

I do like your little quote, but must confess to never having heard of the Italian Gent.

Having spent 30 years working for a Multi Million turnover Company, I have developed an allergic type reaction to people who go out of their way to make every task much harder than needed. I do not suffer fools gladly.

John Byrom also said:

"God bless the King, I mean the Faith’s Defender;
God bless – no harm in blessing – the Pretender;
But who Pretender is, or who is King,
God bless us all – that’s quite another thing."
