Is this possible?
I am using photoshop Seven.
I have a 15 layer picture file and I would like to extract it into individual pictures files.
without saving each at a time.
what is the fastest way to accomplish this. I don’t mind if it names them in a sequencial order.

thanks

If you’re only going to do this infrequently the manual method is ok

Choose a layer
Right click the layer in the layers palette
Choose Duplicate Layer
A pop up appears
choose
New in the Destination Document dropdown

If you do this to all layers in turn it will open a new window for each layer – they will be called Untitled 1, Untitled 2 etc or you can name them as you go or of course rename them when you save them.

If you do this frequently you might like to try this link

any feedback appreciated

There is a javascript for this on the AdobeExchange. You will also need the free Scripting plugin also available on the Adobe site.
