I’m thinking of buying a new PC and scanner, and wonder what’s best for graphics. I’ll be using Photoshop, and a 3d application at some point. I’m mostly concerned about color fidelity. My present system, an old IBM Aptiva and a Umax scanner has been difficult to use: many wrong colors on the monitor, and poor color reproduction in scanning.
I’d appreciate advice on which PC to get (or which definitely not to get), which scanners are best, and what calibration software would be good.
Thanks.
