I have a button image from web template that I downloaded. The text is there, but How do I edit it?

I’m guessing the image is flattened, meaning the text is no longer in text form, but just part of the image – in which case the text can’t be edited. You could select the area around the text, fill it with the surrounding color to eliminate it, and then use the text tool to put whatever words you want. You, would, of course, need to know which font to use so it would match the other buttons. When you’re done, do a "Save for web…" (you should save your original file as a .psd, as jpegs degrade in quality each time you save them…)

well…if the button is a Gif or Jpg, then u cant edit the text alone…u’ll have to color over the text and then put your own text…but if the template u downloaded is a .psd (photoshop) file, then it is very simple, u just change what is written to what u want.
