Has any one used the spider to calibrate there monitor. If so did it do a good job. Thanks I would appreciate any info.

It calibrated my monitor, but I could not install its program properly… for some arcane reason it turned all my existing images into magenta hues…. someone told me it might have to do with how old your monitor might be….

Yes. I use the Spyder with Optical and it does a good job. Should you go that direction, be sure to delete the Adobe Gamma loader from the Startup, and if you use the PreCal program prior to profiling, change the OptiCal target whitepoint setting to ‘native’. As always, I suggest going to their website to dl the latest versions. I don’t know about Colorvision’s latest product, ColorPlus. It does seem much more limited than the OptiCal that I use.
