I have CS2. In the ‘help’ they claim you can render 3D objects (e.g. spheres) via the ‘Render’ filter. Yet when I look there, there is no such thing!
How can one render 3D spheres in Photoshop CS2?

Thanks

make a circular selection..fill it..play with lighting filter for the effect you need.
or
make a coloured disk on a new layer.lock the transparency..select a soft brush and use dodge and burn tool
to make highlights and shadows..

There is no "render" filter. Instead, there are many filters under the "render" category.

Click on the Filter menu. You do not see a submenu called "render"?

Yes, I can reach "render" as you suggest, but there aren’t any 3D objects (e.g. sphere) that can be rendered as it says in the ‘help’. I seem to remember an earlier version of PS being able to do this. 🙂
