I call up a photograph ( PhotoShop 7) and make a copy to work on. I then have the original and the copy showing in my Layers pallet.

I then select ( let’s say the sky) and press ‘delete’.

Now it used to be that I could actually ‘see’ the deletion being actioned on the copy in my Layers pallet …..but …… not anymore…….. it doesn’t seem to work.

I guess I’ve inadvertently changed a setting somewhere and I would therefore be most grateful if any of you folk out there can identify my error and let me know how to rectify it.

I’ve one blind trying to find out how to rectify this mini problem but I just don’t know where to look nor what phrase to type into ‘Google’

I would like to thank in advance all folk who provide useful comments and thank them for taking time out to respond.

Regards.

Did you deselect ‘seeing’ the original’s layer?
If not, you’re probably ‘seeing’ through to the original.
