Can anyone suggest how I might be able to create a spider’s web in PS 7? Nothing too elaborate needed, it’s for a kids invitation.

Thanks,

I don’t know if I am since I have no idea what "trolling" means. Is there an English translation for the term?

Trolling: posting a message to Usenet to elicit a strong response.

In your case, your question is every bit like a blond woman who cannot figure out how to get her new jaguar out of first gear …

You have the finest commercial program for image editing, and it’s not cheap. Somehow you haven’t figured out first gear.

What are we going to do with you? 🙂

Thank you for the explanation. I have always envied people who are born knowing everything. As for the cost? It’s all relative, if you have to ask you can’t afford it.

Pretty much anyone who really has to have this program can afford it – artists, students, designers and print professionals.

You would not believe what I know about you from your response, so do not think that I am being egotistical or gloating.

Looks like he would be in four years if the election were held today… that is unless Bush supporters succeed at what Clinton supporters tried to do and the states voted to change the constitution to allow a 3rd term. I cant wait to see how people who were ecstatic about the idea in 1999 will be appalled by it in 2007… and vice versa.

The more things change…… ;o)

Oh people… since when did newsgroups become places where people are forbidden from asking simple questions without the usual RTFM responses, or worse?

Someone posting a question does not mean that person must be sitting at the computer doing nothing but staring at the screen checking for new posts for a response. Could it be that people can actually do more than one thing at a time and post a question, search the web, chat with people, read an online book/tutorial, and yes do some experimentation as well? Here comes a shocker… people can do all of it.

Anyways… to everyone here that takes the time to give a helpful opinion, quick pointers on what to do/try, or a simple web link, people who ask a question once in a while thank you.

Thats an asumption. I ask questions (not so much here as in other groups), and at times answer others when I have one. That doesnt mean I dont try to work it out on my own as well. Newsgroups are an additional resource for people to use. Nothing more. Nothing less. I cant imagine a newsgroup being just a place for now-it-alls to talk about how they know everything ;o)

Reminds me of a Red Dwarf episode where Rimmer is asked what he could possibly talk about with his holo-clone (or whatever they called him), since they are exact duplicates and know the exact same things. What do

Fairly tho, there are always people as you describe. But wouldnt it be more courtious to give people the benefit of the doubt that they are also working to figure it out via other means?

You don’t get to decide how people use newsgroups. Each person decides how they will use the newsgroup. There is no "One Use" for a newsgroup.

It is called attempting to get other people to tell you how to do something because you don’t want to take the time to figure it out yourself. I suggested that if he did his own work — the work of finding out how to do it — that the knowledge gained would stay with him longer and be more "internalized" as his own.

It saves times and repeated mistakes.

Mistakes are valuable also, and time is just part of the price.

No one is being "hung" here. There is no "rope" that you are in charge of giving out. I write as I wish and there is not a damn thing you can do about it. You can’t make it last one second longer than I wish it to, or you can’t shorten it by one second.

Some people learn by doing, some people learn by watching, some people learn by reading. How you learn is not universal to everyone.

So, you *never* asked questions?

Theo,
Actually, there is only one or two of these ng bullies, using a few
id’s.
Jousting with their gobble-de-gook just feeds them.
Please don’t feed the Red Dwarfs.

True, but then I again I am only providing the rope. What people do with
it
is their own problem ;o)

That is exactly what he (the one AKA mike the artist loser) says. Think about it.

Stephan

I don’t mind playing with my rope, as long as other people play with their own. It is when they try and tell me how to play with my "rope" that turns
it into a fun game.

I don’t ask them of goofy people in newsgroups with the expectation of getting anything of value.

Yet you are here, coresponding with these same ‘goofy’ people? Or reading their past posts where they *gasp* respond to questions? Nah that would be to simple.

He asks the same question every night before falling asleep: How come nobody likes me?

Goofy people like you are fun, but I expect to get nothing of value from the interaction.
