going back in history

Hi,

how do you set Photoshop up so that ctrl-z will go back in history. currently it goes back one step and when you ctrl-z again it comes back to the previous state (like a redo).

can’t seem to find where I can set it so that multiple ctrl-z’s will continually go back in history.

I am using version 6 …
Go to the "edit" menu option – the dropdown appears. Read off the options to yourself.

Try

1 – Edit -> Keyboard shortcuts -> print them all out (there are a few more steps involved but I am far too lazy to fire up PSCS to check them out 🙂

See, a 1-step solution at the best NG in the known universe

Ah but depends on which version, Edit > Keyboard shortcuts only came in on PS CS.
If your on PS 7 then there’s loads of stuff on the web including my favorite, a nice two page pdf at –

Depends on what version you have but you can set it in Preferences>General.
