Had you asked to comment on one in particular I might be swayed into forgetting you are a spammer. If you make it this obvious… All nasty critters end up being…. yep. PLOINK!

Oh yeah: 24 categories and 34 tuts in total? Giggle. And not one is original.

What is it with people having to copy other people’s work just to justify having yet another (photoshop and other shite) tutorial site? There’s about a gazillion out there, and merely enough tutorials to fill maybe one thousand, tops.

Please spend your time, storage and bandwidth on something useful.

You were not to know this but in fact Jan also posted in alt.graphics.Photoshop.

Where she said:-
"I would appreciate any feedback on the tutorial I have posted on http://www.nastycritter.com called Eye in the Sky

Jan Turner

So it seems you owe Ms Turner an apology!!!

once i saw it was nastycritter.com i assumed it was a spammer and never bothered. the name alone just doesn’t sound like a place for PS tuts.

Thank you for your constructive approach to my first tutorial why don’t you use your copious spare time on something more useful like overdosing on laxative to compete with your verbal diarrhoea.

Would you prefer a name like PSgeek.com or maybe peabrainbigot.com? —

Well, I always dislike seeing people pour scorn on the work of others, so here’s my feedback. I think your tutorial is original, and well written. The main problem I had is that it would have been easier to find if you’d posted a direct link, or given your nick or title of your tutorial.

Although this may not be under your control, more people will benefit from your work if you are able to arrange for embedded images in the tutorial itself. The links to individual images load rather slowly, so I would recommend for the time being a small image showing the steps, layer arrangement, etc. People could open this in a new window and refer to it as they read your otherwise excellent tutorial. Frankly, though I think the lack of embedded images is too severe a limitation in this day and age, and I hope the web folks are working on it.

Jan, my sincere apology. I should have looked better and taken the trouble of searching the site for a specific tutorial by you. Unfortunately in this NG you posted no Tutorial Name.

Looks decent, personally I like seeing screenshots of tool windows in stead of just text with all the settings in one clear view, but yours is a complete tutorial anyone should be able to follow.

My comments wrt yet another tut site remains, not that you can help that. But to each his own.

If you want to share something in more than one ng simultaneously, please crosspost, and set a follow-up. Be aware quite a few people automatically dismiss any message crossposted to more than 2 or 3 groups, as it is often a clear SPAM warning.

The name nastycritter -again not your choice apparantly- does not immediately makes one want to go over there, to be honest.

We all make mistakes, I was the one goofing off this time. As said: sorry.

This newsgroup can only become (even) better
with people displaying this kind of good manners.
Points for you, Schraalhans
