Is anyone familiar with the Louis Vuitton range of ads where the colours of the subject in the foreground is manipulated to be super lush? If you are, could you tell me how to do it using adobe photoshop? A friend of mine told me about layer compositions and stuff but it’s all greek to me.

Hi Andrew,
Katwoman and Wm are both better Photoshoppers than I am but I prefer learning by selecting an advanced project and working it until completion. For me it adds structure and focus. Of course there are disadvantages but the bottom line is for me it’s faster. I am not aware of the add run you are talking about but if you ask very specific questions after you have already found and worked through a related tutorial from the vast Photoshop online resources then I think you will get a better response. Don’t give up.

Good luck,
Ron

ron I am not trying to discourage the OP from learning
just that to explain any technique by words in NG it would be necessary for the person to know the basic tools
if the person does not know what a layer is, (that is very very newb basics and can be learned from the help file) how could I explain for example masks, selections, saturation techniques, blending, etc?? I expect NG to have noobs ask questions, if you notice I rarely answer when the answers are easily found
I cannot baby-sit someone to do an advanced work when they cannot bother to learn the basics
if he learns to walk by himself I"ll show him how to swim or run, gladly. he didn’t even bother to look up an example of which picture he meant http://www.scarlett-johansson-pictures.com/stills/scarlett-l ouis-vuitton-ad.jpg ??

cheap people-hire an expert
lazy people-use Google try it it works
noobies-you have to go to kindergarten before you can get into college
