It’s here, it’s fabulous looking, and I think I need a new course to learn my way around it. Only 650 or so Megs for the Mac version, half that for the Windows version.

As a matter of interest, why such a big difference in size? I’m a PC user who knows very little about Macs (but wishes he could win the Lottery so he could afford to convert!!)

Because it contains way more features than the Windoze version, and comes with Hi-Res super model and product shots!

<s>

I believe it’s all due to one version for Intel Macs, another for PPC macs, but all in one apparent app.

Hi John, does that mean I can safely download and use the Beta Version on my 1 GHz PowerBook G4? I’m presently using CS2

Hello, Margaret, long time!

I believe so, and I just went to the site but couldn’t find the usual hardware requirements listing. It does require updated Tiger, and if you have CS2, you go get a key from the site using your CS2 serial for them to generate one for your CS3 beta.

Nice to see you here, and best of luck.

Thanks John. I had no trouble getting a CS3 key via my CS2 serial number from the above address but when I try to open CS3 using the CS2 serial number I
get an error message ‘the serial number you entered is not valid’. I’m assuming it’s an Adobe hitch because the serial number is valid. I think I recall
reading in other forums that I’m not the only one having this problem. I’m reluctant to tick the 30 day option in case I’m unable to activate with my
serial number after the 30 days has expired.

Has anyone here encountered the same problem? If so I’d be interested to know if anyone has figured out a work round.

TIA, Margaret

I had that problem at first using the numbers from the PS info window. Dug out my CD and added the serial from there (with the -‘s and an extra 4 numbers on the end for some reason) and got my CS3 serial ok.
