Hi wondering if i can get some help here i get these two error message whenever i start photoshop cs8 which has only be installed for 5 days I have reinstalled it as the error message said but the error message still persist.

1: "An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

2: "A required applictation library failed to load and the produc cannot continue. Please reinstall the application"

The program then closes.

Any help on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Jonathan,

This could be a plugin problem. Remove all your third party plugins and see if the problem goes away. Also try resetting your prefs at startup (press ctrl-alt-shift).

If you’re on windows and neither of these does the trick, and you don’t mind fooling around with developer tools, download a program called dependency walker from http://www.dependencywalker.com/, follow the instructions, and see if that finds a missing or otherwise damaged dll.

Last but not least, this could be an activation related issue – for that you need to contact adobe.
