They can’t give feedback without winning an auction. What you have to do is make sure that many of their positives are from winning "feedback" auctions. Pay a penny to get a positive feedback.
On eBay, there is no other way to leave feedback than winning the auction. ALL feedback, positive and negative, is from auction winners.
It is also easy to check to see what each winner bought and what they paid. Just click on their winning item number.
Nobody can "write in" to eBay and leave feedback. Nor can anybody "pay a penny" to win an auction — without their "winning" price being visible to all.
It always pays to be alert for internet scams, but eBay really has gone out of their way to make things as verifiable as possible.
I’ve only bought the one software package from eBay, but I’ve bought a lot of other things, and never had a single problem.
