Very nice, KW. Reminds me of Henri Rousseau’s "The Dream", and I don’t say that lightly. Everything glows from the black background. —

Absolutely as Mike says, it seems quite luminous!!
I think I prefer your image to the Rousseau, is it a painting?

When we stayed in Domincan Republic (Samana) that painting was in the bar at the hotel. I vainly looked for a similar one in the shops to buy. Most of the artists there use a similar style but I Iiked this artist best. No luck finding the cat motif which I wanted. I took a quick snapshot of the painting intending to look for the painter to re-create one for me. My husband’s lucky number is 3 and I liked that about it too. Of course there are no zebras or giraffes on Hispaniola. So I am assuming the artists have been influenced by primitive style artists as Rousseau. The people are very poor but the lushness of vegetation provides all the resources to at least eat (fresh sea fish, coconut, pineapples and bananas, bamboo pictured grows there too, chickens and cows and horses roam freely) For sure there are no APPLES or apple and pear trees!! so maybe they represent the GARDEN of Eden? or they are using images learned from Euro artists works?

My photo had a nasty flash flare on the left side, and the blacks took a bluish cast.
I used the dropper tool to fix the black and a Gaussian layer to remove some graininess, Then some blending modes (I can’t remember what I did), got that darkened edges effect?

I was looking for a colorful shot to use as a desktop to show off my new monitor and came across it in my files, if you like the 3 cats can represent the 3 kings.
It is also has the same color cats as my Miracle (a cat I had for 16 years who died recently.) and my tribute to him.

The incription is Hebrew ( part of the Hanukah story, and the same words on a dreidel) but I think most Christians will think it refers to Jesus (fine with me). Miracles are born of Love, given by HIM to ALL of us. If you look hard enough you can see.

glad you all liked it, I wish I had the name of the original artist to give credit…..
