I can browse almost anything else but ai files are a no go

Adobe Illustrator is a VECTOR graphics program. [FWIW: They are *very* similar to Encapsulated PostScript … EPS … files.] PhotoShop is an IMAGE graphics program.

Two totally different things, both in concept and reality.

I don’t know of any browsers that actually work well for *any* of the vector graphics formats.

The only thing I can suggest is Adobe Reader
If you list all your Illustrator files using Windows search (*.ai), then highlight all the ones you want to browse. Choose Open With and then pick Adobe Reader.
You can then cascade or tile your images.

Not an ideal answer but it might help a little
