I have just ordered Photoshop 7.0 and I’m starting from scratch! Please recommend a path that will bring me to a point that I can use this very sophisticated software reasonably well in PHOTOGRAPHY. What book(s) would you recommend that would be a good starting point. I’ve checked to see whether any colleges in our area offer a course in Photoshop, with no luck. Please don’t tell me to "Forget it!"….I’m a retiree who’s determined to learn! Thanks for your help….RP

Here’s a link to a recent thread that gives tutorials, books, etc. There’s some extraneous stuff to sift through,
but lots of good ideas. Check out the FAQ’s etc.—tons of good info in the forum.
