Having trouble spoting cursor when working on grayscale images

When the cursor is on parts of the photo that are the same hue, it is difficult to spot it. Is there a way to change its appearance in order to prevent this. PS 7, Win Me.

nope. it’s controled by windows. a popular workaround is to quickly hit the crtl or space key to bring up the black arror or white hand cursors.

Could you clarify this? The Windows interface allows a programmer to define and invoke just about anything in the way of a curosr.
