Many times I will optimize an image [to the best of my ability that is ] and get an image I like but when I reboot my computer perhaps a day or so later the same image looks like crap. In particular the image sharpness seems to be off ,ie it has halos when rebooted. Is my eyesight going or is it something I am missing. Any suggestions appreciated ….mjh

If you are saving in JPG you may be saving at low quality, so you see good quality, save, then reload the bad quality save….

Use PNG format maybe?

Could be several things – my first suggestion would be to let your monitor warm up for half an hour and look again.
