I am looking to find a way in Photoshop (or another app that you might recommend) to use the "orientation" data embedded in an image to automatically rotate and save images in their ‘proper’ orientation. My Canon Powershot embeds the ‘orientation’ data into the pic — and Photoshop seems to be able to read it just fine and auto-rotate the images for viewing in the Browser. But can I get it to automatically rotate and save the files?

I know how to rotate and save an _individual_ image file. That is pretty simple. The issue that I am trying to solve is that I generally import 80-100 pics from my camera at one time… and they will be a mix of landscape and portrait orientations. I would like to find a way to set up an automated ‘batch’ function to look through the pics… rotate the ones that need to be rotated +/- 90 degrees… and then save them.

Any wisdom that you might have to share would be greatly appreciated.
