I’m looking for a tool or a PS plugin, that can do the following:

I want to transform a picture such that a relevant part of it becomes congruent with another underlying picture. I want this transformation to happen somewhat automatically, for instance, like this:

I define a few strategic points on the underlying picture. Say, I have a pic of a human face. I somehow mark the eyes, nose tip, ears, chin, and so on.

Then, On a different picture of a face (different size, different proportions), I mark the same logical spots on the face.

Now, I want the tool to automatically stretch, shrink, tilt, skew the second pic such that the corresponding marks meet, and the faces become somewhat congruent.

Is there such a tool?

There has been exactly that tool available for many years. I saw it first on an Apple Mac.

Google "morphing software" and you will find an awful lot of it.

you can do it with
free transform tools and liquefy (under filters) but not automatic if you need to do a bunch of images ..the above post recommending a plug in is most likely a better idea
