hi, first off i’d like to say that i have great respect for photoshop and jasc’s psp. best software in the world. and i’m dying here b/c i’mv having trouble loading psp 9. could someone help me out here. i think somehow my spyware screwed up a folder of mine in psp or something. cause the problem is, i can’t load psp. it freeezes right when it says "initialzing materials manager" it will just freeze and not load. i’m frustrated, i can’t go a day without my photoshop or paint shop pro lol. anyway, i could just try to reinstall but i dont have the CD anymore. somehow i’m thinking the folder got deleted or … hell i dont know.. anyway i know that this is a photoshop newsgroup so i hope i’m not off subject here, but if there is anybody out there that could give me advice on what i could to to solve the problem, that would be great. i’ve contacted jasc but no responses. and ther FAQ doesn’t say much. anyway please hit me back up if you can and give me advice if you’re able.

thanks in advance and be goood people

reinstall but i dont have the CD anymore.

Buy your own copy, for a start.

Have you tried the Repair function under Add/Remove Programs?

Did that work? If not…Uninstall. Download trial from Jasc website. Reinstall Trial.

The trial runs for 60 days (I think) and it hasn’t
been out 60 days yet, so no matter when you installed
the first copy, this should temporarily solve your problem.

If you own a registered copy, call Jasc tech
support tomorrow –the number’s on the website–
during business hours and they
will provide an unlock key so the nag goes away

If you don’t own a copy, buy one and don’t expect
folks here to provide you with the means to pirate
software. That’s just looking for abuse. Most of
the folks here are serious enthusiasts or pros who
pay for their software.

Terragen does what it is designed to do quite well.

I’ve been using both PSP and PS for about a decade– each has its strengths and weaknnesses.

Jasc tech support doesn’t work weekends, and they’re on Minnesota time– time your call appropriately

Thanks you two earlier (replies) I will try to find that newsgroup Wayne for some reason it didn’t show up through AOL’s usenet. BTW, are there another programs that you can to use these newsgroups? AOL restricts many things on here. I’d like to have more capabilities. It won’t let ow download either.

Post to the right groups. This is NOT a psp group. Or a Terragen list.

Post using Google groups or find a free news server to use or use a real ISP and real news reader.
Pay for a premium news server.

Come back when you graduate and have a Photoshop question.

you sure did take a lot of time to read my post and reply back. you’re just a troll looking for trouble. i know how they work, they hang around in these boards and get tired of the same subject and they prey on people to start a conflict with. anyway, i’m not into going back and forth like little children. anyway to the two nice gentlemen who offered me advice with maturness and kindness, i greatly appreciate. i have the software working again 🙂 have a good one thanks

the reception here could have been completely on another foot, if you did not first ask Jesus for ‘HELP PLEASE" and then suddenly decided to address us.
