Hey All,

The other designer in my office is having an issue with PS7. Sometimes, while using her Text tool with multiple documents open, she gets an error noise when trying to select another tool (you know the sound… BOOMP.)

She is able to view her history states and even select them. She can also select different layers and use the Text tool.

What we’ve tried:
CTRL+D to deselect anything that might be selected
ESC
CTRL+A then CTRL+D
Pressing ENTER -(not carriage return) to finish any Type editing Reseting pallet locations

There are a few others that we’ve tried too. The only thing that seems to work is closing down all other open PS docs. As you can well imagine, this is slightly annoying.

Any suggestions? Maybe trashing her presets? 😉

Thanks,

Jey, in your list of what you have done, you say that you hit the Enter key to finish Type editing and if I remember correctly in PS7 and CS, you should hit Ctrl Enter to commit the type. Maybe you are just causing a carriage return and moving the cursor to the next line instead of committing the text. If you don’t want to use Ctrl Enter, then just click on the tick mark in the upper right of the options bar. I don’t know if this is the problem or not but worth a mention.
