How do i paste something in an verctor mask? it alsways makes a new layes when i want to paste something

You haven’t given enough information for me to comment with any certainty. But try this.

CTL Click into the Mask icon. This should turn the masked area into a selection with marching ants. Then CTL SHIFT V (Edit > Paste Into) to paste into the selection whatever it is you are wanting to paste.

If you paste into the wrong area you will need to go back a step and invert the selection (CTL SHIFT I).

It works half. When i cntrl click on the mask layer. It copies the same layer style into another mask layer in a new one. I want to paste somthing in the same layer

i was going to suggest paste into as well not just paste…..but if worse comes to worse cant you just merge your two layers?

A vector mask is defined as a Path so the only thing you can paste into a vector mask is another path, which can be done from the Paths palette using the Path selection tools.
