Hi,
I find that usually there are two or three areas of a photo that differ enough that they require separate sharpening. For example, if I have a scene with a blue sky, green foliage and red rocks then I can mask the sky, select the greens (or reds), Smart sharpen, inverse selection, Smart sharpen and trash the mask. Or often I will have generated enough channels and paths during routine editing that when it is time to sharpen it is easy to make selections based on those using Calculations. But there are often times when I have an image with variations that do not lend themselves to selection by color or easily defined edges. What I would like to do is be able to select areas of an image base purely on the size of the detail within the image. Does anyone know of a way to do that?
Thanks,
Ron
