Any prior version, upgrade or otherwise is fine.

Over a year ago I tossed my PS 5.5 or LE version of original software. I figured I wouldn’t need them any more. That was 4 version ago and I have three other original PS CD versions. That appears to be a false understanding. To rebuild a computer without PS on it, do I have to have an orginal non-upgrade CD or will one of my previous version get me started again? Thanks

Norm,

A prior version CD should work…just insert it when prompted during the installation process for the newer version, so that verification of an authentic CD can be performed and allow the installation to proceeed. You needn’t install the earlier version.
