The readout from the Timer in the PS cs status bar is wildly inaccurate when compared with a stopwatch.

I notice this when running PS’s own Radial Blur, as well as Neat Image and Focus Magic. PS timing is often 2 or 3, even 4 times the stopwatch time.

Is this a known bug?

I have had no replies to this in a month. Has any other user noticed the problem? Is Adobe aware of it?

I believe the timer not only reflects the time it takes to perform the filter/action in Photoshop, but actually records the time from when you actually click the filter in the menu, through the time you actually click "OK" to perform the filter, all the way until it’s done performing the filter.

Try this to see what I mean:
* Open an image and run Radial Blur, but leave the dialog box open for a noticeble amount of time (>10 seconds?)
* Notice the timer after it’s run… It’s definitely over 10 seconds. * Undo the Radial Blur, and hit "Ctrl-F". This should give you the accurate time that it took to perform the filter after it is done.

Is that what you were experiencing? If so, I imagine that this behavior is intentional.
