I need a 1 Bit Transparent PNG for testing purposes.

If it is possible to create a 1 Bit Transparent PNG with Photoshop then
please also tell me how.

I tried using the PNGOUT plugin in Irfanview. There is an option to save an image with 1 Bit Depth but none for transparency.

I tried using Photoshop from a friend’s computer and was actually overwhelmed by the options available there.

In Photoshop, create an ordinary 8-bit-per-channel RGB image with a transparent background. Draw something on it. Use File->Save for web… and set it to PNG-8, transparency ticked, and set the number of "colors" to 2. Save.

Notice that in the colour table it showed two colours: your colour and transparent.
