Setting Photoshop as default for file types

Would like to find a way to set up my system so Photoshop is the dault program to view file type such as .jpg. I am using Windows XP.

You had the option to choose this when you installed PS …

Anyway, just to to Windows Explorer, find a file of the type you want to open with PS by default and right click. Select Open With and Choose Program… Find PS and check the Box by "Alsways use …"

You’re done.

Just for the record. This is not a PS issue. It’s just the way Windows does things.

Thanks, one of the problems with an office computer is that someone else changed a number of settings — or rather they used a program that did it automatically.

This type of help is not listed in the FAQs.
