Hi,

I have a requirement to resize 200 images taken on a Canon 1D, average size 12mb, up to 20mb files. Any suggestions as to what software will produce the best quality result and allow me to batch the process i.e. I would rather not have to deal with each image individually

thanks

Peter

This has been asked many times before, do a search of the forum for Batch Resize

Peter:

Rene is right in that this is a frequent topic of interest. The 200 hits you will get by searching the forum using Batch and Resize as search arguments are all over the map topic-wise. To help narrow dow the search results a bit, let’s dig a little deeper.

You’ve got
* 200 images
* 12-20 MB in size and you want to apply changes to them via batch processing, which makes a lot of sense.

When I read "…what software to produce the best quality result…?" I wasn’t sure what you meant.

So there’s no mistaking your ultimate objectives, if you took, say, one of your images (a 15 MB one), specifically what changes would you want to apply to it? What characteristics would it have when finished (physical dimensions? resolution? .jpg? .tif? etc.)

Depending on where you’re going, you may be able to get to the finish line using functionality built into Photoshop.

Since you’re posting in a Photoshop forum, you’ve got PS, right? Which version?
