2 spot colour gradients

How do you succesfully produce 2 spot colour gradients so they will print nicely without a grey area in the middle? need to export it to indesign afterwards.

Are you talking about a spot color to a spot color or a duotone gradient?

sopt to spot. Have heard that problems can a rise when printed.

Please help, i want to prodeuce a spot to spot colour gradient that doesn’t have a grey area in the centre when printed. New to this please be gentle with me.

Why don’t you just create it in InDesign?

It would depend on what the two spot colors were. If they were complements, then 50% of each would yield gray, but if they were similar in hue, it wouldn’t be as much of a problem.

If you don’t absolutely need true spot colors (seperate plates), you could construct a composite gradient with a transitional color stop in the middle.

New spot channel. Create spot1 to transparent gradient.
New spot channel. Create transparent to spot2 gradient in register with original gradient.
