CS lost settings

Hello,

Photoshop CS lost all settings including palette positions and preferences. Can this be because I replaced my SCSI Card? No Discs are connected to SCSI, only a scanner and a tape drive. Is this to expect any time I install or replace a piece of hardware?

i’ve had that happen once in cs. never repeated so i just chalked it up to windows weirdness. <shrug> if it starts happening all the time, i’d start getting worried.
