Is there a way to stamp a name on the bottom-right of about 1000 different-sized photos? I can’t figure out how to stamp bottom-right because the action records absolute coordinates. Is there a way to record relative coordinates?

I think danny r. recently came up with a method (new to me anyway <g>) of using percentages in the move box rather than absolute pixel values. try that… ie. 10% from lower right.

Credit kudos: I got the idea from a Carol Steele post a long time ago.

Anyway as Dave said for relative vs. absolute placement the trick is to set the ruler units to % before recording the action. (Right-click in ruler and choose Percent.) That way text placement is recorded as % of image size, not a specific location. Be sure to set justification to "right-justified" if you’re placing name in bottom-right corner. That way text will never go "too far to the right" on smaller images.

Also: If you want the name to be sized in proportion to the image size too, save the name as a "custom shape." (to create a custom shape see tutorial at www.Trimoon.com)

With ruler set to % and custom shape created, record the placement of the custom shape. The shape size is recorded as a % of image size. Placement is recorded as a % of image size, too.
