Hi All,

I run PS 7 and normally when I build an image with multiple layers, I can go to a particular layer on the image and left click and move it around. About a month ago, this behavior changed. Everytime I click on a layer, it reverts back to the lowest layer, not allowing me to stay on the layer I want to move. I can still move that layer with the arrow buttons but everytime I place my mouse on a multiple layer image, PS automatically selects the lowest, or first built layer.

Is this a "switch" I inadvertently set or is this a bug of some sort?

Thanks!

James

I would try and re-install Photoshop. I just had a problem where it kept freezing my system when it was reading my plugins on startup. A re-install worked for me.

Try selecting the move tool then unticking ‘auto select layer’
