In Illustrator CS you can print with a great tiling function. Your oversize picture will print on several sheets and you can assemble them after printing.

In Photoshop CS there is no such function. Is there a way around this- without placing the image in an Illustrator document or doing laborious cropping?

I’m just trying to output to a Canon inkjet.

Thanks
David

What’s the matter with putting it into Illustrator (or a page layout program)? Seems like the logical way to go.

can print wide format from illustrator and tile the picture into 24" or 36" wide strips automatically.
