Hi folks

I found a wonderful frame, obviously made with Photoshop.

I have been trying for about 4 or 5 hours to make such a frame with my photoshop 7 but unfortunately IĀ“m too "silly" to make it. I would appreciate very much, if somebody could give me a hint how to make it.

thanks very much in advance

Open your image and change your background color in the tools to white. Look in your layers palette to see if there is a small lock icon and the word "background" on that layer. If so, then, go to Image>Canvas Size and adjust the canvas size a bit to give a small border like the tiny white around the colored section of the image in your link. This will make a small white border around your image. If there was no lock, adjust the canvas size as just explained and fill the area around the image with white.

Now, if your layer is locked, double click on it to "make a layer" and repeat the canvas size procedure and make it even bigger this time. Make a new layer beneath your picture layer and fill it with white (click on the New Layer icon at the bottom of your layers palette, drag it below your image layer and fill with white. Now, select your image layer and double-click on it to open the layer style panel. Click on the word Drop shadow and adjust to suit.

If you have problems, like you have multiple layers already or something, go to Image>Duplicate and flatten the image and repeat the above steps. This will allow you to keep the file with the layers incase you want to make other alterations.
