replacing an image in a layer

New to Photoshop CS, how do I replace an image in a layer with another image? Thanks in advance.

MacBook Pro 16” Mockups 🔥

– in 4 materials (clay versions included)

– 12 scenes

– 48 MacBook Pro 16″ mockups

– 6000 x 4500 px

1) copy and paste the new image (it will now be on its own layer)

2) place it so it matches the image you want to replace

3) delete the layer of the image that is to be replaced

Layer masking–drag new file into open document pshop will create a new layer, add layer mask (2nd key on the bottom of the layers palette, use black to paint out what you don’t want…if you make a mistake use black to restore information on the layer.)
