Photoshop V4 Won’t Install on Windows XP

Purchased Bundled version of Photoshop as Ver 4, then over time purchased upgrade to Photoshop ver 5. I have now purchased a new computer with Windows XP Professional and am trying to Install Ver 4 and then follow with the ver 5 upgrade but ver 4 won’t install. What do I do?

you shouldn’t have to. the 5 upgrade should ask you to insert the 4 disk if it can’t find it on your system.

Dave – Many thanks for your help – that did it! Do you happen to know if I can upgrade from my v5 to v8 which is the current version?

Yep, you can purchase the Photoshop CS upgrade with no worries.

what len said! 🙂 glad you’re working linda… you can upgrade to photoshop cs, and as a photoshop owner you can even upgrade to one of the CS Suites (standard or premium) for a pretty good price.
