*If* you decide to buy then I would suggest to have the license transferred to you, to make you a legal user and option to upgrade to newer version. *If* you don’t then not much difference than paying for an expensive WAREZ version.

I would suggest to try to get an Educational version of CS3. If you are or any member of your family is in hi-school or college then ask them to get it for you, and it costs $300.

Amazon.com/Amazon.ca has very good prices on books compared to a book store, you might check out fredmiranda.com and

photoshop elements is a lot cheaper and has most of the functionality used by most people
it is sometimes bundled with scanner or camera

i never pay for books. instead i go to the library and check them out there. if they don’t have what i want i have them check with other libraries in the area. here there are 65 member libraries of the river bend library system.

if none of them have what i want i have them check with
firstsearch.org (only libraries can have an account with firstssearch). firstsearch allows you to get books from any library in the world. in some rare cases it might cost you a small fe but i haven’t seen any yet.

when they get the book i want i simpy check it out nd return it after i’m finished with it. i use the copy machine to copy any important pages i want. 🙂

right now i am using the liraries free wifi also. 🙂
