Hi,
I have a text logo on a transparent background in my Photoshop file which I need to convert for web. Please, recommend me correct settings and format, so it would be an image with smooth letters and transparent background. I know Photoshop is not a vector-based app, so what would be the workaround?
Thanks.

Export the file to image ready and save as HTML when the text remains as vector.

Thanks, I’ll try. Will it keep the shadow too? Does it save the image as GIF?

No, it is not photoshop or imageready. Consider where you wish to place the image and be certain that in the transparency dialog you choose a Matte of that color. Try it and let us know. We may have to mess with feathering and fringe.

I think neither photoshop nor imageready do a good job. I was looking at experts-exchange dot com website – they have it perfect way! Would you know how this may be done?
