I think I used to know how to do this, but seem to have forgotten. If I create a adjustment layer with a white mask and then later make a selection, how do I get the selection to be added to the exiting mask?
Something about editing the mask channel and doing a fill of the selection perhaps?

Thanks..

With the selection active, click on the mask icon for that layer and fill, using black or varying shades of gray depending on the degree of effect you want.
