Why won’t layer sets copy between files?

I’m using PS 7.01. I want to copy a layer set, containing only two image layers, from one document to another. But when I shift-drag the layer set into the destination file, the copied layers are empty, though properly named and within the layer set.

Why is the content not copying?

Thanks
Tony B

not sure (and not at my ps system) but have you tried crtl-a on the image before copying? don’t know why it should be needed but worth a try…

It’s odd, but now the drag-copy process works, both with and without the whole image selected. For the past 3 days it wouldn’t work, even after multiple reboots. I don’t get it. Nothing has changed since then.

Anyway, I have another problem that you might be able to answer. The image maps I’ve applied to the layers in the set don’t copy. Is that normal or is there a technique to make them copy?

Thanks for you help.

I think you need to save one set as a template and build a new image from that each time. No as far as I know there’s no way to copy stuff like guides, slices or image maps.
