I’ve seen this under the PhotoShop CS FAQ but not for 7.0.1

Tried both deleting and re-creating the file association and reinnstalling the update over the current installation to no effect.

seeing as this seems to be a common problem (from my quick google search)is there a simple fix?

File type is .JPG and if you re-associate the file to image viewer that application opens the files correctly when the user double clicks the file…

TIA

Search for the registry key, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Applications\Photoshop.e xe\shell\open\command

and see that the value is "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\Photoshop.exe" "%1"

Probably you’ll find the "%1" missing.

Now when you double click a file Photoshop opens and prompts you for a file name for a new file?

Any suggestions?
