How do I take this pattern and fill the white area with it seamlessly, evenly? http://pw1.netcom.com/~starmaker/HowDoi/HowDoi.html

Just in case I wan’t clear, the end result should look like this with pattern extended to edges…

but more evenly and cleaner…

but more evenly and cleaner…

Hi Helen,

It may be easier to just create a new pattern from scratch. I was able to come up with something similar in only a few minutes.

This used the Halftone, Stamp the Spatter but I’m sure with a little playing around you could come up with something better.

thanx looks better then what I came up with, I’ll work on it and also I’ll try to get rid of the tiling issue.

Something like this is very easy to do well using Filter Forge. Here is one I put together in about one minute. If you download the Filter Forge plug-in (the 30 day trial is free) I will make one for you with any parameter controls you need.

As you can see from the diagram this procedure will allow for independent control of the distortion on each side of the H and V using noise components as well as the ratio of black to white using the impulse width.
