Yeah when saving for web, if you sliced it in a way that html cant make a table that way, it adds spacers. That sucks. I know a way around it, but it takes more time. I have to slice in sections save to web and open 1 section up and slice it again so It makes even tables. Instead of photshop making spacers every time because of uneven td’s why dont they just make nested tables? Cant Adobe make it so it makes another table instead of spacers? Then it will eliminate spacers which causes problems alot. They try to make the entire page with one table and thats just plain stupid. Thats why you always get these damn spacers. Do you guys know of a plugin or an update that fixes this or another way around it besides, EX. slicing the banner, then the body, then the bottom… then opening the banner slicing that(which is already a slice) just so you can get seperate code and then you place all the code together.

So using golive how would you open a file from photoshop, since I build my sites in photshop, so I can save it to html there so it will save it without spacers? I need to be able to open it with the layer slices too. I was reading in the help file though and it says it still uses spacers. But whats werid is they think thats the only way they can make it work, but there wrong. If they use nested tables there would be no use for spacers. hah. I do it all the time with eneven tables, It just takes more time cause I have to slice it in sections, then open the jpg file and slice that section and so on, which I can then make even slices. The I cut and paste the code back into one single page. You just delete where it puts the big image and replace it will the sliced code from the other page and it makes a table within a table. If I could program I would make an update for this. For me atleast this would save soo much time and have less problems.
